Kylie Murray (M.Ed., BFA) is the Associate Director at Local Motion Project in Alexandria, Virginia. She received her BFA in Theatre Performance from Chapman University and her M.Ed. in Secondary Education from Grand Canyon University. Kylie teaches dance for Local Motion Project in the studio and in Alexandria’s public schools, as well as develops curriculum for professional development. Kylie co-created Alexandria’s first public school dance integration program for which she creates lessons, trains classroom teachers, and teaches students. Previously, Kylie toured the U.S, Canada, and Europe with Missoula Children's theatre, teaching, directing, and performing alongside children in grades K-12. She taught middle school theatre arts in Arizona and Virginia and has worked for Arena Stage as a teaching artist. She is a member of, and has presented for, the National Dance Education Organization. Her additional continuing education includes a certificate of study in the Kennedy Center's Changing Education Through the Arts (CETA) program, BrainDance with Terry Goetz, Circus Yoga with Erin Maile O'Keefe, and Creative Movement with Deborah Damast.
